Gavia Pass (Passo del Gavia, 2621 m) is a high mountain pass in the Italian Alps and the tenth highest paved road in the Alps. The road over it, SS 300, connects Bormio to the northwest with Ponte di Legno to the south, and is single-track over much of its southern section. It appears frequently in the Giro d'Italia, sometimes as the Cima Coppi (the race's highest point); the 1988 stage over the pass was run in a snowstorm and won by Erik Breukink, with Andrew Hampsten taking the overall lead and going on to win the Giro.
