Monte Zoncolan is a mountain in the Carnic Alps of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, climbed by road from three sides: Ovaro to the west and Sutrio and Priola to the east. It first featured in the Giro d'Italia on the 12th stage of the 2003 race, won by Gilberto Simoni via the Sutrio road, and has since been used seven times in the men's Giro (2003, 2007, 2010, 2011, 2014, 2018, 2021). The Ovaro ascent runs 10.1 km at an average gradient of 11.9% with a maximum of 22%; the rough asphalt between Liariis and the tunnels on that side was replaced in 2007.
