The climb from Mori up to the San Valentino / Polsa ski balcony above Brentonico hosted stage 16 of the 2025 Giro d'Italia — the queen-stage finish, billed as the race's hardest, and the first Giro finish here since Eddy Merckx in 1970. About 17 km of 'staircase' climbing, a long 9% mid-section with ramps to 14%, high over the Adige valley.
