The long western wall of Monte Baldo, straight up from the Adige valley floor at Avio to the Bocca del Creer at ~1,617 m — 21 km at 7%, climbing from the first metre out of the village, the hardest 10 km hidden in forest and rock before the road opens onto the ridge above Lake Garda. A narrow, well-surfaced, lightly-trafficked climb; the balcony near Bocca di Navene gives one of the great sudden views of the lake. The Giro's Monte Baldo summit finish (2025) used the northern Polsa/San Valentino side; this is the wilder southern approach.
