A steep, scenic balcony climb above Arco at the north end of Lake Garda: from Bolognano the road switchbacks up to the Passo Santa Barbara / Monte Velo at ~1,169 m — about 11.5 km at 9%, ramps into the mid-teens, opening onto a terrace of meadow and the Vallagarina far below. No Grand Tour has raced it (it belongs to Trentino's granfondo country), but it holds its own on gradient and on one of the great sudden Garda panoramas. A quieter, harder alternative to the Loppio approach.
