Kühtai (Kühtaisattel, 2017 m) links the Ötz valley near Oetz with Gries im Sellrain in the Tyrolean Alps. The west side from Ötz climbs about 18 km on the L237 Kühtaistraße, gaining roughly 1241 m at an average of 6.9% with pitches around 15%; the gradient is irregular, easing to about 3% near Ochsengarten before the upper ramp. This side is the opening climb of the Ötztaler Radmarathon, which makes it the most-ridden approach. A ski-resort village sits at the saddle.
