Passo Duran carries the SS 347 over the Dolomites between Agordo in the Cordevole valley and Pralongo in the Val di Zoldo, in the province of Belluno. The classic cycling side from Agordo is the harder one: the road leaves town climbing gently, then narrows into roughly seven kilometres of wooded ramps that hit 14-15% with little let-up before opening to mountain views near the col. It is a regular Giro d'Italia climb, last crossed in the 2012 edition.
