The Gaisberg is Salzburg's Hausberg — a steep 9 km wall climbed straight from the city's edge, averaging over 9% with ramps past 15%, to a broad summit at ~1,287 m with a sweeping panorama over the city, the Salzkammergut lakes and the Berchtesgaden Alps. Long a hillclimb venue, it returned to the professional peloton as the summit finish of stage 3 of the 2025 Tour of Austria, won by Giro revelation Isaac del Toro — its first pro mountain-top finish since the early 1970s.
