The sibling of the Col de la Loze: a car-free climb to a ski col at ~2,430 m above Les Menuires, in the Vallée des Belleville at the heart of the Trois Vallées. Its upper reaches are a former ski piste tarmacked in 2022 as a bike-only path, closed to motor traffic. Ridden from Moûtiers up the Belleville valley it is a Super-Hors-Catégorie effort — about 22.5 km at 8.5%, some 1,920 m of climbing, with a final wall past 20%. Unlike La Loze, which the Tour de France has already summited, the Tougnète has no race pedigree yet — it earns its place on sheer difficulty and on being one of the standout climbs of the Alps' newest cycling hotspot.
